"C'est la vie" in Digi Tech Class
This is my life in digital tech class. It's amazing how far technology has come in just the past two or so years. My first experience with blogging came from livejournal. I always thought blogging was just a place to express your feelings and thoughts or comment on your friends crazy antics of the day. I never would have expected it become what it is today. However, after watching the videos in class and reading Richardson's thoughts on the subject, I see how it can be a great tool for teachers to connect to their students and connect them to the world. I look forward to using blogging and other 21st century technologies in my future teaching. For now I am excited to start this new blogging chapter in my life.

  2. I also thought of blogging as a place to journal on line. What a concept, to be able to collaborate with anyone else who has access to the internet and a desire to share/communicate with you!! Doesn't it just seem as though classrooms and schools grew enormously?!?

How exciting and empowering to have an author respond to a class's reflections and questions (like Sue Monk Kidd did with Richardson's class)!! Or to have a research team respond to a class question about their work!

The possibilities and opportunities seem huge.

  3. At first, I really only thought of blogs as places where people ranted about politics or their boss...or whatever was on their mind. Now that we're learning more about them, I share your excitement in wanting to use them in our future classrooms

  4. I agree. I have never blogged before, but I do see it as an asset and something I am going to maybe try with my older students.
